The Gynitsh Self A modern interpretation of Ibsen's classic, 'Peer Gynt', which played at Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2006, to good reviews and business (see CV section.) Co-written with Robert Drummond and Alan Gilmour, and produced by Measureless Liars. |
Method Let’s face it, if slobby chav, Bill, wants the job he’s going to have to employ some underhand tactics to get it. Lately Productions Presents an exciting new comedy-drama about class, desperation and cheese-and-pickle sandwiches. This one-act-play was chosen to take part in ‘New Writing New Worlds Theatre Festival’ (Glasgow 2006), promoting and celebrating great new dramatic writing. |
Lost Sheep ‘This used to be farmland you know? All the grazing animals have been slaughtered and processed, and now it’s just industry.’ Tim, Michael and Jeremy have all grown up together in an industrialised Motherwell, a town set firmly in Glasgow’s shadow and rife with small-mindedness. They always aspired to something more however, and, now in their twenties, each character finds himself at a low ebb in his life. Tim is having serious marital problems; Michael, a would-be photographer, has been reduced to taking photographs of hamburgers for fast-food menus; and Jeremy, a poet, has been prompted to question his choice of occupation, as his mother lies dying in the hospital. Will a few drinks bring these old friends together, or finally bring old tensions exploding to the surface? Staged at MacRobert Theatre, Stirling, October 2003. |
